School, teachers, textbooks, tuitions, exams and A grades!!!!! These are the things which will ring the bell in your head if we talk about education. But is this the true definition of it? I doubt it is... Educating one doesn't mean that the person have to know every single word in the book! It means, learn to live; to survive, which includes the 'so called' definition I mentioned above!
These days, parents are actually expecting their kids to strike straight A's in their subjects regardless of their interests. I find it very unfair. Every person has their own talent and interest. Some will be interested in seeking knowledge; some will say, I cannot sit and study...I want to play always, interested in sports; some will say, my sole interest is music. Another huge group of people will say, I'm good at plumbing or wiring or carpentering and some work which need some skills apart from text book notes!! So, we cannot force someone who is interested in skill works to study medicine can we? That person will fail not only as a doctor but in his life too!! So, why the parents have to spoil the child's life by forcing things that they want him to do? Instead ask and allow him to do what he desires to do, so that he will excel in his life.. Parents should find out the kid's interest to guide him.
Apart from that, they should mold his character and teach him to be in his best attitude. The individual itself have to learn few things. For example, to survive with what is available; to control the emotions; to know how to bring own self and to act according to the situation; where to talk what and to who, etc.. These lessons from parents and own experiences which will never be taught in any schools are also called education.. Experience is a very good teacher!!
